My Favorite Fast Food Burgers

I’m judging the burger itself here—not fries, shakes, nostalgia, or the restaurant overall. Just beef, cheese, toppings, sauce and bun.
Ranking
Simple ingredients executed almost perfectly. Two patties, cheese, fresh toppings and a toasted bun make it incredibly balanced.
When subtlety does not matter. Beef, cheese and a ridiculous amount of bacon.
The flame-grilled flavour makes it stand out from almost every other major chain burger.
A properly seared patty and buttery toasted bun make it feel closer to a diner burger.
Better beef flavour than the standard McDonald’s burgers, with just enough onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard.
Bacon, cheddar, pickles and A&W seasoning make this one of the best chain burgers in Canada.
A very solid classic burger with fresh toppings and a substantial patty.
Not the best pure burger here, but the sauce, pickles and middle bun create something completely distinctive.
